Construction of National Stadium to Begin Next Year, Vucic Announces and Presents the Project
He added that the stadium “will not be cheap at all”, but that it would be a developmental project for that part of Belgrade. Let us remind that Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali previously said that EUR 250 million had been set aside within the 2020 budget for the construction of a national stadium.
Vucic said that, after the stadium is built, the price of a square meter in the nearby residential-office complex would go from 850-900 euros to 2,000 euros.
– It is an essential need for us. People no longer go to stadiums to shout, but to have a good time with their kids and get something to eat and drink. The interior will feature wood, whereas the exterior will be a steel structure. The construction, from the state budget, begins next year – Vucic stated.
