Nordic companies increasingly more interested in investing in Apatin
Representatives of the Nordic Business Alliance were introduced to the business potentials through presentations.
– We have visited Apatin in order to develop business connections between this town and our companies. We have been presented with interesting information regarding the possibilities of development of ecological tourism, production of energy... All this makes Apatin an interesting place to invest in – said Ambassador Lundin.
Certain Nordic companies already operate in Apatin. Securitas, which employs 170 workers in this town, is one such example.
Deputy president of the Municipality of Apatin, Dubravka Korac, says that “the most interest has been shown regarding renewable sources of energy, which are practically unused here, both the geothermal springs and the biomass”.
– I also believe that they found the shipyard, which has not been operational for years, interesting and that this is an ideal opportunity for big companies to get interested and invest in it – Korac said.
