The Business Association of Hotel and Restaurant Industry of Serbia (HORES) has held a meeting with two of the biggest Chinese tour operators, Caissa Group and Utour Group Co. Ltd, and introduced them to the business environment of the hotel and restaurant management business of Serbia in the post-Covid period. The aim of the meeting was to establish partnerships between these two tour-operators and HORES. For the period from April to June this year, the arrival of the first 1,000 Chinese tourists, within Balkans tours, has been announced. The Chinese partners expect to be as satisfied with the hospitality, hotels, restaurants and tourist features as before the pandemic, so they announce the arrival of Chinese tourists in considerably greater numbers compared to 2019, which was the record-setting year of the Serbian tourism before the global pandemic. HORES reminds that, in 2019, over 150,000 Chinese tourists were registered in Serbia, placing China among the top three countries observed by the number of arrivals of foreign tourists, the press release says.

The delegation consisted of the president of Caissa Group, Ren Jun, and the president of the Management Board of Utour Group Co. Ltd, Feng Bin, who introduced the hosts to the serious plans for the tourism exchange of Serbia and China in the coming years and said that they were interested in partnerships with HORES as the biggest trade organization in the hospitality sector in Serbia. Also, they expect HORES to propose the hotels and restaurants where Chinese tourists could stay, with special attention paid to the Clean & Safe certified facilities, because health and hygiene measures are one of the requirements for a safe stay of their tourists.
