Nis Airport to Expand to 7,000 m2 and Get Passenger VIP Section – Tender for Works Worth RSD 1.4 Billion Published
The reconstruction of the existing building is planned, and in front and behind it, an extension is envisaged, which, together with the existing building, should comprise a unified whole. The facility will have separate units for the arrival and departure of passengers and a special section for VIP passengers.
As announced earlier by the director of the PE Aerodromi Srbije, Mihajlo Zdravkovic, the plan entails the construction of a new building with an area of 7,160 m2 and the adaptation of the existing one of 2,100 m2.
Following the extension and the reconstruction, the plan is for the new terminal building to enable the optimal level of the service in line with the IATA standards at the set peak of 604 arriving passengers and as many departing passengers.
Technical rooms are planned in the basement, whereas a passenger check-in hall, an arrival hall, VIP and business rooms and a luggage sorting facility are planned on the ground floor.
The first floor will feature the central waiting hall, the future jet-bridge, as well as other business rooms.
The new building will have 10 check-in counters for the departing passengers, self-check-in devices, 4 KD passages, eight passages for passport control, four exit gates and one VIP gate.
The operating features for the arriving passengers entail eight counters for passenger control, two devices for the delivery and pick-up of luggage and two customs channels.
Two restaurants and two cafes are planned as well.
According to the documentation, the works entail five phases, and the project was prepared by Bauprojekt from Belgrade.
The deadline for the submission of bids is January 17, 2022, and more details can be found HERE.
Let us remind that it was announced recently that Air Serbia would establish lines of public interest from January 4, 2022, from the Constantine the Great Airport to Belgrade, Istanbul, Frankfurt (Hahn), Cologne and Ljubljana.
