UM-ING planning to expand facility in Zrenjanin

The Zrenjanin-based family company UM-ING (Umicevic Inzenjering) is planning to expand production in Industrial Zone Bagljas next to the existing office and production hall.

UM-ING has already filed a letter of intent to the local self-government looking to purchase land in Bagljas next to the hall it already owns and build new facilities there.

The company was founded in 2005, and in 2009, they founded a mixed company Petkus Balkan with a renowned German partner. This company also operates in the hall owned by UM-ING, the Zrenjaninski portal reports.

– Petkus Balkan makes equipment for grain silos, but also for animal feed plants, grain drying plants, machines and equipment for grain treatment. Petkus Balkan provides various services, from conceptual designs and planning, to the turnkey construction of silos – says Borislav Umicevic, founder UM-ING.

He notes that another subsidiary was founded last year, namely, Petkus Process Control, which provides engineering support and activities, as well as technical consulting.

– This company specializes in the construction of control cabinets, design, management and software control in the facilities we build – Umicevic notes and adds that both UM-ING and Petkus are oriented to both local and foreign operations.

Petkus currently has 45 permanent employees and around twenty seasonal workers. When projects of a larger scope are being carried out, the number of employees reaches up to one hundred.
