World Bank finances construction of Niš-Dimitrovgrad road on "Corridor 10" in Serbia

- This week, Minister of Economy, Mlađan Dinkić, should agree with the representatives of the World Bank on the terms of the credit for financing of construction of Niš-Dimitrovgrad road on "Corridor 10" - Ministry of Economy announced.

According to the announcement, Dinkić and representatives of the World Bank estimated that the construction of "Corridor 10" was the priority for Serbia and its economic development.

They expressed expectation that the concrete agreement on amount and terms of the credit would be reached during this week's visit of the Deputy Prime Minister Mlađan Dinkić to the headquarters of the World Bank in Washington, where Dinkić will meet with the officials of that institution.

At the meeting that was attended by the Deputy President for Europe and Central Asia, Shigeo Katsu, Regional Coordinator for Southeast Europe, Jane Armitage, and the Head of the World Bank's Office in Serbia, Simon Gray, the previous projects of the World Bank in Serbia were examined and discussed.

The participants in the meeting also talked about economic situation in Serbia.
