Srpska Kablovska Mreza (SBB) has bought Interaktivne Kablovske Objedinjene Mreze (IKOM), and the value of the acquisition has not been divulged, Blic writes.

As the newspaper writes, SBB submitted a request to the Commission for Protection of Competition to determine whether there was a danger of a possible dominant market position on September 13. If the Commission deems that there is no danger, SBB will become one of the biggest telecommunications operators in Southeastern Europe.

The Blic source claims that SBB has been preparing for the acquisition for a long time and that it is a part of a long-term strategy of the American investment fund KKR, which bought this company in 2013 for over EUR 1 billion.
