As of early 2012, the citizens of Valjevo will be able to try their skills at basketball, volleyball, handball, football, tennis, bowling, and martial arts at Omni Center. In the location of the former leather tanning plant Milan Kitanovic, Valjevo-based Ingrap-Omni is going to open a sports and catering complex.

- All the works should be finished until the New Year. What is already in use within Omni Center is a small arena where our fellow citizens play basketball, futsal and other sports recreationally - Milomir Stojanovic, director of Omni Center, says in an interview for eKapija.

This complex comprises a 880-square-meter sports arena for basketball, volleyball, handball and futsal, which will include stands that can hold 300 spectators.

- Aside from sports activities, we plan to use this space to organize concerts as well. Also, what we already know is that Omni Center will be the venue of the Kolubara region's economy fair SPREG, which was earlier organized in a gymnasium of one of the primary schools in Valjevo - Stojanovic stresses.

The visitors of Omni Center will have at their disposal a bowling center, table tennis room, martial arts arena, indoor tennis court, etc. There will also be billiards tables and table football, a hairdressing salon with a massage table and sauna, as well as a section with hot tubs and Turkish bath.

- Parents training in any part of the complex will be able to leave their kids at a playground. Omni Center will also include a sports store and a sport cafe that will be decorated with a big board with the picture of Milos Teodosic - says our interlocutor.

Aside from recreational athletes, this sports center also wants to attract professional athletes to have their practices in the Valjevo region, which is why 14 rooms are built as well.

- Omni Center is situated in the vicinity of the Gradac river, and we now strive to build a running track for athletes so they could practice outdoors as well. Our target group for accommodation at the center includes athletes, and we also expect Russians who should soon start building the Valjevo-Loznica railroad. There is also a restaurant serving the national cuisine, as well as a room with 700 seats for weddings and other celebrations.

The complex currently comprises two outdoor tennis courts and outdoor exercise machines, and the plan for the following period is to build a swimming pool and a wellness center. Omni Center was designed by Valjevo-based Ana Projekt.
