Komercijalna banka generates RSD 2,39 billion profit before taxation in the first half of 2014
In the first six months this year, Komercijalna banka published profit before taxation of RSD 2,39 billion which is 7,2% less than in the same period previous year.
The profit decrease is a consequence of higher reservation amounts and a bit higher operational costs in the same period. Net profit generated through interest rates increased by 12,4% to 6,8 billion and net profit generated through compensations and fees slightly increased by 2,5% to RSD 2,2 billion. The working capital of the bank increased by 5% as of the beginning of the year to RSD 382 billion and the credit activity decreased by 2% in the same period. There has been a significant increase in securities, 54% g/g to 88,6 billion, Wise broker reports on its portal.
When it comes to the second quarter, in that period the bank generated profit before taxation of RSD 1,18 billion which is almost the same as in Q1 and 7,4% higher than in Q2 in the previous year, mainly due to higher interest rates net profit.
