Imlek acquires Mlekara Subotica dairy

Belgrade Stock Exchange saw a very good turnover of RSD 2.85 billion (EUR 25 million) on Tuesday owing to the sale of 82.4 percent of Mlekara Subotica shares.

People at Salford told Beta news agency that the 82.4 percent stake in the Mlekara Subotica dairy had been bought by Belgrade-based Imlek, which is also owned by the Salford investment fund.

A total of 1,889,129 shares in the Subotica dairy were sold on the stock exchange yesterday at a price of RSD 1,499 per share.

Imlek is the owner of several dairy companies in surrounding countries, whereas Mlekara Subotica has so far been the only separate juristic person within Salford.

The Belex15 index grew 0.16 percent on Tuesday, reaching 518.08 points at the end of the day, while the general index Belexline finished the day at 1,025.51 points.
