Novi Sad Fair builds four "smart halls" - Works to start in early 2014

By the end of next year, the Novi Sad Fair should get four new halls which will be heated and cooled by new renewable energy sources, GM of Novi Sad Fair, Dragan Lukac, has announced.

According to him, the halls will be situated in the part extending from Hajduk Veljkova Street to the Sajam hotel.

- Our idea is to install heating pumps and solar panels in the halls. Chinese partners accepted the offer to participate in the project funding. We have preliminary agreed to lease 1500 square meters of space in the existing halls to Chinese producers where they would produce solar panels and place them to our and neighboring countries – Lukac explained.

With the members of the Chinese delegation comprising representatives of the Embassy in Belgrade, investors and bankers, it has been agreed that the project should be prepared in the next two weeks and that in the fall they should start collecting documentation and demolishing old halls.

The construction of the new halls should start in early 2014.
