Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Aleksandar Dzombic stated that it would take few months to complete the process of Agrobanka's recapitalization by the Serbian government in order to continue that bank's investment project in the Republic of Srpska.

Dzombic said yesterday in Banjaluka that after the ongoing restructuring of the Agrobanka's management, it would be necessary to get a consent from the National Bank of Serbia for the bank's investments abroad.

He reminded that Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic assured him few months ago that Agrobanka would not give up its investment project in Srpska, but that it was necessary to complete the recapitalization process first.

In the meantime, the Deposit Insurance Agency has formed Nova Agrobanka (New Agrobanka) that is 100% owned by the state, while the destiny of old Agrobanka, which is threatened by bankruptcy, is still uncertain.
