"Delta Holding" company intends to open up even eight supermarkets in Montenegro, in 2006, as well as a trade center and exhibition space in Podgorica - investment worth 67 millions EUR
A Belgrade company, "Delta Holding" intends to invest in Montenegro during the year of 2006, a 67 millions EUR in building up a chain of supermarkets, trade center and exhibition space.
"Delta" has announced that it plans to build in Podgorica a purchasing-distributive center as well, and also to realize a project of water botteling in Montenegro.
On the promotion of investment plans of this company in Podgorica was also present the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic who expressed his belief that the cooperation with "Delta" would be successfull, for joint benefits.
- For us, it is a special pleasure that "Delta" is coming from Serbia, as in this way it is shown that the new context of state relations between Serbia and Montenegro would not brake down traditionally friendly relation of these two states, but on the contrary would make it stronger and more powerfull - said Djukanovic.
He expressed his expectation that the procedure with "Delta" would be a guideline for successfull companies from Serbia and the region to invest in Montenegro, adding that the Government of Montenegro would support "all healthy economic ideas".
The President of "Delta" company, Miroslavc Miskovic pointed out that this company would like to become a leader in certain areas of the region and that investing in Montenegro was only one step in making this goal true.
In 2006 "Delta" intends to open up eight supermarkets in Montenegro - 4 in Podgorica, and per one in Niksic, Bar, Ulcinj and Bijelo Polje, as well as a large trade center and exhibition space in Podgorica.
