Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will get the Republic of Serbia’s passport, announced president Aleksandar Vucic.

At a joint press conference with Wozniak, following their meeting at the Presidency of Serbia, Wozniak announced that the co-founder of Apple and his wife, Janet Hill, will get Serbia’s passports.

The president emphasized that Wozniak had visited Serbia on his own initiative, that he had financed his trip himself and that he hadn’t been brought over by politicians.

According to Vucic, Wozniak is interested in improving the education system in Serbia.

Wozniak himself addressed the press briefly and said that, from then on, he would present himself as a Serb who lives in the U.S.A.

He said that Serbia had great potentials and that the specialized EXPO 2027 Belgrade was a great opportunity, as the global public would focus on Serbia.

He also explained that his arrival to Serbia had been organized by his friend, the tennis player Janko Tipsarevic.
