A step closer to the construction of the gas pipeline to North Macedonia - Spatial plan developed for the section from Leskovac to southern border
The boundary framework of the Spatial Plan includes parts of the territories of the cities of Leskovac and Vranje, as well as the municipalities of Vladicin Han, Bujanovac, Presevo, Vlasotince, Surdulica and Doljevac.
As stated in the decision, the priority for the development of the energy sector is the provision of gas pipeline infrastructure in all regions of the country and facilitation of connections to the systems of neighboring countries (the Republic of Bulgaria, Romania, the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of North Macedonia, etc.).
- This way, the possibility of supplying natural gas to the market from other sources of supply would be opened up and the idea of a natural gas market from the Treaty on the Establishment of the Energy Community would be implemented in practice - the decision states.
The deadline for the draft Spatial Plan is 12 months, and the funds for the preparation are provided by the Public Enterprise Srbijagas.
