The Tourism Organization of the Municipality of Indjija has opened public procurement procedures for the purchase of used flying balloons, as well as the renting of flying balloons with the crew. The value of the purchase tender is estimated at RSD 20 million, whereas the value of the rent is estimated at RSD 15 million.

These procurement procedures initiate the project of the “Serbian Cappadocia” in Indjija, a new tourist attraction within which there have been negotiations with potential partners from the Turkish area of Cappadocia.

For the purposes of the forming of the flying balloon tourist attraction on the Island of Krcedin in the Municipality of Indjija, two used hot-air balloons are to be procured, one of which can take in at least three passengers, whereas the other can take at least 20 passengers. The balloons need to have suitable documentation, a certificate for flights, proof of the registration of aircraft and an insurance policy, and the seller needs to secure a guarantee of at least two years.

Bids may be submitted by June 1, and more details can be found HERE.

At the same time, the TO Indjija plans to rent five hot-air balloons, four of which can take in at least two passengers each and one of which can take in at least 10 passengers, with a suitable number of pilots and crew members. The balloon for a minimum of 10 passengers has to also have a co-pilot, in addition to the pilot, so that two experts are present during the flight.

These balloons are planned for flights up to an altitude of 50 meters, while the balloon is fastened to the ground. The balloons are rented to tourists per hour, will be available for four days a week, where each balloon will be airborne for 1.5 hours a day.

Bids may be submitted by May 31, and more details can be found HERE.

Let us remind that the plan to create a "Serbian Cappadocia" in Indjija was launched in mid-2022, when intensive negotiations with representatives of tourist organizations and agencies from Turkey started.

At the beginning of this year, it was announced that, within this attraction, the visitors to the Island of Krcedin will have ten panoramic view balloons available to them.

The plan is to procure special catamarans which would transport passengers from Krcedin to the Island of Krcedin, as well as to build two wharfs. The visitors will be able to enjoy this offer each weekend.
