No Toll Collection on Morava Corridor Until October
– Until October, a promotional period is in effect, during which the citizens will not pay the road toll for using that part of the highway, that is, the barrier in Pojate remains. When the section to Kosevo is completed in October, a new frontal barrier will be set up there. The barrier in Pojate will then be removed and those who are coming from the direction of Belgrade will pay the road toll where they are exiting the Morava Corridor, ending with Kosevo – Vesic said on TV Prva.
As he added, when the additional ten kilometers to Kosevo are done, the road toll collection will start.
He reminded that the Morava Corridor was the first smart highway in Serbia, meaning that it had the full optical infrastructure installed.
He said that the total length of the Morava Corridor was around 112 kilometers and that it connected two highways – Milos Veliki and Belgrade-Nis. He announced that, in mid-2024, the section from Adrani to Preljina would open for traffic.
– Adrani is a small village above Kraljevo, looking in the direction toward Cacak, so it means that from the middle of next year, Kraljevo will be almost connected to the highway and all that remains for us to do is to complete the part between Kosevo and Adrani by mid-2025, which means to connect Trstenik, Vrnjacka Banja and do two interchanges near Kraljevo – Vesic said.
He added that the road would be fully completed by then and that it would take around 40 minutes to travel between Pojate and Preljina.
