Last Year’s Foreign Exchange Inflow from Tourism Exceeds EUR 1.5 Billion
– We broke the record primarily thanks to local tourists, who were the most numerous, but also foreign tourists, who recognized Serbia as an attractive destination. These data are encouraging and they make us optimistic about 2022 being even more successful and the good results continuing – Matic said and pointed out that the tourism sector had once again displayed a great potential for development, it is said on the website of the ministry.
The minister reminded that, in 2019, which used to be the most successful tourism season ever in the Republic of Serbia, the foreign exchange inflow amounted to EUR 1.4 billion.
According to the report of the National Bank of Serbia, the increase of the foreign exchange inflow from tourism in 2021, compared to 2020, is 47.2%, expressed in euros.
