Construction of the bypass around Vrsac is a project worth 15 million euros, the road is 8.5 km long and it represents a part of the international road corridor that should connect Romania, Montenegro and Italy via our country.

In the first phase of the project, a road section 3.6 km long will be built, from Beogradski road to Pavliska cloverleaf interchange, and the value of the works amounts to about 625 million dinars, half of which will be provided by the Province. The future route of the bypass will also include a bridge, two overpasses and two cloverleaf interchanges.

- Construction of the bypass is the biggest investment in Vrsac over the last two decades, in which, in this phase, the Government of Vojvodina has invested 150 million dinars through the provincial Capital Investment Funds. The bypass connects the industrial zone, as well as the location of the future airport in Vrsac, and represents a part of infrastructure that will enable quicker development of southern Banat. Attracting investors and numerous foreign companies is especially important because is the least developed part of Vojvodina. The bypass construction project also means a lot for better quality of life of all citizens of Vrsac because freight traffic will be relocated from the city core and air pollution and noise level will be significantly reduced in that way. The bypass is of great importance to the whole country because it represents a part of an international corridor that will connect us with Romania, Montenegro and Italy - said Bojan Pajtic, the Chairman of the Executive Council of Vojvodina, who opened the works.
