The minister of trade, tourism and telecommunications, Tatjana Matic, says that local producers of fruit brandies, goat cheese and fruit will have great benefits from the Free Trade Agreement between Serbia and Eurasian Economic Union, which comes into effect tomorrow.

Matic said for RTS that the agreement also enabled the export of certain amounts of cigarettes and several kinds of alcohol, customs-free, to the EAEU markets, that is, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.

She expressed hope that the agreement would incite local producers to export finished products more, instead of raw materials.

It was announced earlier that the agreement would enable access to a market of over 180 million people for around 99% of the goods from within the Customs Tariff without customs charges.
