Zlatibor Gondola Sees 25,000 Passengers
They say that the interest is growing and that the number of tickets sold this weekend ranged between 1,000 and 1,200.
– There’s been an incredible interest from day one, which has in some way met and even exceeded the biggest expectations. On the first day, in only four hours of gondola’s operations, around 1,200 tickets were sold. In the following days, the sale of tickets stopped before the working hours ended, because the number exceeded the planned daily capacity, which is reduced to a large extent due to the necessity of compliance with the epidemiology measures – the Tourism Organization of Zlatibor says.
They point out that the cabins are designed for no more than 10 passengers, amounting to 600 passengers an hour, and due to said epidemiology measures, the capacity needed to be reduced to 4 per cabin and 240 per hour.
The long-awaited attraction on Zlatibor was officially put into operation on January 14, 2021, when it transported its first passengers too.
