VUCIC: We will try to build a vaccine factory in Serbia
According to him, it would enable Serbia to produce enough vaccines for its own populace.
– We are struggling very hard, it is very difficult to get vaccines. I am hoping for some good news next week. Never have the world order and the relations between countries changed to the extent they are now, in the era of coronavirus. That is why it’s important for us to get as many vaccines this year, to work hard – Vucic wrote.
Let us remind that the minister in charge of innovations and technological development, Nenad Popovic, recently visited the production capacities of the largest manufacturer of the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine.
On that occasion, he said that official negotiations about having the vaccine produced in the territory of Serbia had begun.
– Thanks to president Vucic, the Russian side immediately responded to our plea to have the Sputnik V vaccine produced in Serbia and the top tier of the Russian state authorities ordered for a way to be found to have the vaccine produced in Serbia as soon as possible – Popovic said.
