French and Chinese Companies to Officially Become Partners on Subway Project on January 22
Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali stated for Tanjug earlier that numerous visits by Serbian experts to France and vice versa were expected in February. The French experts are already working on the subway project.
He said that Alstom was already working on the models and the specifications related to the entire subway system.
The Detailed Regulation Plan has been adopted for Makisko Polje, where the works should begin by the end of the year.
A large depot will be built there as well, Mali said. That’s where the construction of the first subway line will start. The first line will go through the Belgrade Waterfront, the city center and Karaburma to Mirijevo.
The second line will go from Mirijevo to New Belgrade and Zemun.
The interstate agreement on the realization of infrastructural projects with France, signed on November 26, 2020, was also ratified at the end of the year.
