Auto House Voždovac - automobile showroom that fits the needs of Fiat, Renault and Dacia

According to the automobile forum at the recently finished BG Car Show in Belgrade, Auto House Voždovac is the best auto house in Serbia. That company won the Oscar of Prestige award and presented the automobile that won the title of the Automobile of The Year – gas-powered Fiat Punto.

Auto House Voždovac exists in Belgrade for nearly half century, and it used to be an automobile sales and service center for Zastava vehicles. However, the owner realized that the auto house must be modernized in order to survive in the market, so that he introduced Renault and Dacia vehicles in the offer three years ago. The facility is completely renovated and expanded, while the state-of-the-arts sales and service section for Fiat automobiles was opened on February 17th, 2010.

- Auto House Voždovac's new automobile showroom for Fiat vehicles is the first showroom on the territory of former Yugoslavia that is equipped in accordance with the highly demanding standards of that Italian company. We are the authorized vendor for Fiat's passenger and commercial vehicles - Nikola Milošević, the Assistant CEO of Auto House Voždovac, told eKapija.

The sales and service center of Auto House Voždovac occupies the surface of about 15,000 square meters. The newly opened, third section, which is reserved for Fiat vehicles, occupies the surface of 444 square meters.

- We are able to offer Fiat's whole product portfolio to the interested drivers. The best-selling model is still, of course, Punto Classic, the vehicle manufactured in Kragujevac. That vehicle can be bought in our country with the government's subsidized loans, at the annual nominal interest rate of 4.5%, and with the discount of 1,000 EUR if an old vehicle is exchanged for a new one.

In addition to Punto Classic, Punto Evo, which had its premiere at the opening of Auto House Voždovac's showroom, also drew the attention of Bg Car Show's visitors.

- The company became the sales agent for Punto Classic vehicles by signing the contract in 2009, while the contract that made us the authorized vendor for all Fiat automobiles was signed in early 2010. We sold 2,300 Punto Classic vehicles in 2009 and we plan to deliver another 3,000 in 2010 – says Milošević.

Milošević says that the plan for year 2010 was that 3,200 domestic and about 250 imported vehicles be sold. All Fiat vehicles come with two-year guarantee period, without a limit to travelled kilometers, while the guarantee period for carosery is 8 years.

According to Milošević, more than 90% of Punto vehicles have been sold by means of subsdized loans. The company also cooperates with Lipax Leasing, which offers almost the same terms as creditors.

Telekom Srbija, the Power Supply Company of Serbia, the Army of Serbia are only some of the companies and institutions that buy vehicles in Auto House Voždovac and use the services of its service center.

The company does the service of all Renault, Dacia, Fiat, Alfa and Lancia vehicles in the guarantee period, while the service of Citroen and Hyundai vehicles is also done after the expiration of the guarantee period.

This auto house has recently opened a new car wash, while the tin shop, which was the first in Belgrade to obtain Renault's certificate for repairs in the guarantee period, was opened last year.

Vera Savić, the Manager of the section for Renault and Dacia vehicles in Auto House Voždovac, says that their primary goal upon the opening of the showroom and the service center was to be among top five car sellers in Serbia, and they succeeded in that.

- We now move forward and hope that we will take the third position by the end of the year since all the conditions for that already exist.

When asked how satisfied they were with the sales of Renault and Dacia automobiles, she said that everything was good from the very beginning, but then the crisis hit their and all other sectors. A drop in car sales is obvious, but, as Ms. Savić points out, "only the strongest will survive".

The majority of customers are physical persons. It can be noticed that juristic persons postponed the procurement of new automobiles until some better time. When it comes to the method of procurement, people in Auto House Voždovac say that they have direct Renault's funding, but that there is no rule regarding the procurement trends. Those expensive automobiles are usually paid for in cash, while Dacia vehicles are primarily bought on lease and loan.
