CTP Invest to build business facility in Kragujevac – Jobs for 300 workers more
This is the second facility of the Dutch Company CTP – real estate developer which operates across 13 countries in Central and East Europe. Even though it's been operating in Serbia for only three years it has so far completed six facilities while three more facilities are currently under construction, the total area of the facilities amounting to 180,000 m2.
According to Vlatko Djuricek, Kragujevac is one of the four strategically significant cities in Serbia, a place to be at.
– There are multiple reasons for this. Not only is Kragujevac a big city but it is also the regional center, University town and a place with rich industrial history. Our current employers' immense satisfaction in Kragujevac only supports this claim. Investors also appreciate that the City management and all its institutions are prepared to fulfill their obligations in due time and following procedure.
The first CTP facility with the total area of 25,000 m2, built nearby for the Chinese company Yanfeng Automotive Interiors (YFAI), had been finished in record time and it's already in use. The second facility currently being built for a renowned client, who are our long-time partners is bigger in size corroborating our commitment to invest in the city of Kragujevac, Djuricek pointed out. CTP will invest EUR 17 million for the construction of this facility in Phoenix Industrial Zone, which is technically a more demanding project whereas the equipment in the facility is worth EUR 20 million.
– The City of Kragujevac is a recommendation unto itself, stressed the Mayor of Kragujevac, Nikola Dasic. It is the center of automotive industry and the first industrial city in the Balkans. It stands out from the rest with its people, its University and the City Management which managed to carry out Yanfeng project realization efficiently and quickly. The construction lasted 11 months and that's something that speaks well of our local municipality.
Yanfeng Automotive Interiors facility currently employs 600 workers with the end goal of having 800 employees. The new facility will create jobs for additional 300 citizens of Kragujevac.
– CTP is certainly an investor with proven credentials and it has a reliable partner in Kragujevac. It's up to us to put our resources at their service both for our citizens and the city's good rating, Dasic said.
At the moment, in three companies in the ctPark Kragujevac 600 workers are employed in the first ctPark facility. The number of employees should reach 900 during the next year. After the construction of the new factory, the total number of employees should rise to 1200. The company plans to continue investing in Kragujevac. CTP's further plans were the topic of discussion at the meeting held in the City Administration building.
Aside from the Mayor Dasic, the meeting was also attended by the Member of the City Council in charge of Investments and Project Management, Vladimir Dobi, Mayor's Assistant in charge of Capital Investments and Cooperation with the Government of Serbia, Aleksandar Milosevic, the Head of the City Administration for Development, Predrag Pantic and Deputy Head, Zoran Djorovic.
