Good Food & Wine Festival on September 5 at Sava Promenade – Magical Flavors from Serbia and the Region

As the summer is ending, between Friday, August 28, and Sunday, September 6, the second Good Food & Wine Festival is taking place. The event, which is held this year under the slogan “Taste Love on the River”, will gather several hundred participants, food and wine producers, hospitality managers, tourist workers and numerous visitors, fans of traditional products from Serbia and the region.

The main event within the Good Food & Wine Festival is the traditional food and wine show, which will feature over 50 exhibitors from Serbia and the region, at the Sava Promenade (the plaza behind the Belgrade Waterfront Gallery building in Karadjordjeva Street), on September 5. On that day, the visitors will be able to taste wines, local brandies (rakijas), organic juices, prosciutto, cheeses and other delicacies. Fans of wine and good food will be able to but products at discount prices at the show and also have fun enjoying the music and other stage events throughout the day. Entrance is free, and all the visitors have an opportunity to get one of the 10,000 gifts provided by the exhibitors and try their luck at the game shows prepared by the organizers.

In line with the symbolism of bread in the Serbian tradition, a bread show will be organized, gathering the best bakers, who will display their skills in making tasty dough products.

On the main stage, at presentations and workshops, interested visitors will be able to learn interesting facts about the Serbian gastronomy and the increasingly popular wine industry in these areas. On that festival day, awards will be publicly handed to the best producers in Serbia and the region, chosen by journalists, friends of the festival.

During the festival week, partners of the festival, hospitality managers from Belgrade, will create a special festival menu, providing the visitors with a special experience, with festival discounts, wine tasting sessions and learning about the flavors coming from their kitchens. They will also prepare the Sunday Brunch on September 6, where the visitors can socialize with the cooks.

Good Food & Wine Festival is organized by the Spektar center, with the support of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications and the Secretariat for Economy of the City of Belgrade.
