Clinical Center of Serbia to be reconstructed by August 2021

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic visited the construction site where the Clinical Center of Serbia is being reconstructed, an investment worth EUR 110 million, and announced that the works on the construction of Tirsova 2 would begin in the spring of 2020. He also pointed out that the location for the construction had been determined – Deligradska Street.

He said that several problems remained to be solved and that the construction of Tirsova 2 would begin in the spring of 2020. Vucic pointed out that the investment of EUR 110 million in the Clinical Center of Serbia was of capital importance for Serbia and that it should be completed by August 2021.

Vucic announced that the works on the new building of the Clinical Center of Vojvodina in Novi Sad, would begin in the autumn, whereas the works on the Clinical Center in Kragujevac would begin in the spring of 2020.

Also, he added that, after the reconstruction, there would be 930 new beds at the Clinical Center of Serbia, 200 of which in the intensive care unit.

As he said, the New Emergency center is being built. It will feature an X-knife and a gamma-knife, accelerators and other modern equipment.

The president also announced that there would certainly be new employments in healthcare.

The new Clinical Center of Serbia will feature the new Emergency Center, the renovated polyclinic, expanded laboratories, 930 patient beds, 200 beds in the emergency care units and 30 operating rooms.
