At the 69th Berlinale, Angela Schanelec won the Silver Bear for Best Director award for her film I Was at Home, But.

This drama, a German-Serbian co-production, will have its local premiere in Serbia at FEST, on March 3, at Kombanka Dvorana, and will then be shown in movie theaters.

Phillip (Jakob Lassalle), a 13-year-old schoolboy, disappears without a trace for a few days. The film begins with his re-appearance in the school year, where everyone notices his strange behavior and disheveled appearance. His mother and his teacher are confronted with existential questions as a result of the event.

Schanelec, the director and the writer, says: – I didn't have a specific goal and I didn't think about how to reach it. I wrote one event after another, going step by step. The characters are related to each other, so you can understand the essence of one by looking at another.

The cast also includes: Maren Eggert, Marcel Kohler, Wolfgang Michael, Dane Komljen, Jelena Kuljić and others.
