Commencement of construction of production line in Banatski Dvor - "Srbijagas" and "Heat" signed contract worth 5.5m EUR

"Srbijagas" and Austrian company "Heat" have signed 5.5m EUR worth of contract today (April 10, 2009) for construction of production line in underground gas storage Banatski Dvor.

The CEO of "Srbijagas", Dušan Bajatović, said after he signed the contract that the construction of new production line would start on Monday (April 13, 2009) and that the works would be financed from the budget of "Srbijagas".

- The deadline for completion of works is 233 days. Once the works are finished, Banatski Dvor will be able to produce 5m cubic meters of gas a day – said Bajatović and added that the capacity of the storage would be increased to 300m cubic meters of gas next season, which would enable 60-day gas supply to the population in Serbia in case of gas crisis similar to the one that took place in January 2009.
