Digitization of oldest theater in Serbia, Knjazevsko-srpski teatar Kragujevac, begins
As said on the town's official website, the oldest theater in Serbia is thereby joining the process of digitization, as the implementation of the project will entail the education of the employees at the theater for the processing, archiving and keeping of the documentation of the theater in an electronic form.
Video recordings of 45 performances made from 1980 till 2000, stored on film, will be digitized, and the digitized documentation will be publicly available at www.joakimvujic.rs.
The electronic database will be a good basis for the storing of all future recordings of performances and other relevant theater documentation.
The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia is co-financing the project with RSD 519,000.
