A total of 59 members of the city parliament voted for the budget rebalance.

Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic said that the budget rebalance was being carried out as there was a surplus of RSD 25 million in the budget and that the city would put that money into projects. He announced that, by 2020, the city would develop 300 of its schools and that the plan was to install 200 more underground containers and around 1,500 conventional ones.

He also announced the laying down of tram tracks on the Ada Bridge and the development of the footbridge on Kalemegdan.

The budget rebalance also entails funds for the construction of a gondola across the Sava, from Kalemegdan to Usce.

Vesic said that the sale of the Dorcol Marina was expected as well and that the money from the sale would be put into the infrastructure in the surrounding area.

– Attractive residential and office facilities will be raised there. The old power plant will become the Science and Research Center Nikola Tesla. The Nikola Tesla Museum should also be located there. The current Museum has 100,000 visitors a year – Vesic said.

At the session, along with the budget rebalance, there was also discussion about the city's 2017 statement of accounts, the amount of funds for the city's and the urban municipalities' operations and the defining of the revenues belonging to the city.
