Once Vinci Airports takes over the running of the Nikola Tesla Airport, small shareholders will be paid dividend of EUR 12.4 per share. That is how much each citizen – owner of the airport's shares – stands to get after 15% of the dividend tax is deducted. It is still not known when the money is to be paid, considering that the Government of Serbia first needs to sign an agreement with this concessionaire.

The French giant Vinci Aiports offers a total of EUR 501 million for the management of the airport over the next 25 years. This amounts to EUR 14.6 per share. Considering that the state stands to get 83.15%, which is the percentage of shares owned by the Republic of Serbia, close to EUR 417 million will be paid to the state budget of the total amount. The rest, EUR 84 million, will be paid to the remaining shareholders, among which are companies, investment and pension funds, but also citizens who have acquired the shares of the Belgrade Airport for free.

– The state and the companies-shareholders are to get the full amount of EUR 14.6 per share, whereas the citizens-shareholders will each get 15% less – brokerage companies explain and add that this is the dividend tax rate and the share in profit pertaining to natural persons only.

Citizens will therefore be paid EUR 12.41 per share, which amounts to RSD 1,474 at the current official middle exchange rate of the NBS.

Seven years ago, along with the Nikola Tesla Airport employees, 4.8 million citizens acquired the right to free shares. In the meantime, around a half sold their shares at the stock exchange. According to the latest data of the Central Securities Depository, a total of 3,297,810 of the shares of this company are owned by citizens, comprising 9.6% of the total issue.

Aside from the concession compensation, Vinci will also oblige to invest another EUR 732 million in the airport by the contract which should be signed within 60 days, and the state will also be able to count on concession fees. The total earnings from the concession, as the state authorities estimate, will amount to around EUR 1,467 billion.

Growing price

The shares of the Nikola Tesla Airport broke the record in trading at the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday. The price of RSD 1,720 per share is the highest one in the stock exchange since February 2011, when the Belgrade Airport shares were listed.

MIHAJLOVIC: There will be no layoffs

The French company Vinci Airports, which will take over the running of the Nikola Tesla Airport, will not lay off workers, and all the rights of the employees will be defined by the collective agreement, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic stated today while visiting the Belgrade Airport.
