Tractors from EU fund – Another invitation for agriculturists placed within IPARD program

The Ministry of Agriculture of Serbia placed the second public invitation for applying for funds from the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance in Rural Development (IPARD), meant for purchasing tractors, on January 4, and agriculturists may submit requests for receiving rights to incentives by February 26.

Acceptable investments and costs pertain to the purchase of new tractors and expenses of preparation of projects and technical documentation.

As Novosti reminds, the incentives amount to 60 to 80% of the investment, depending on whether the applicant is a young agriculturist, whether the farm is located in a mountain area and whether the money is also used for environmental protection.

Incentives available for the production and processing of fruit, vegetables and other crops range from 5,000 to 700,000 euros, whereas incentives available for the production and processing of milk and meat range from 5,000 to a million euros, the Belgrade daily adds.

The first public invitation for IPARD incentives for the purchase of mechanization and equipment opened on December 25.
