Airline between Montenegro and Finland established

The signing of an agreement between Montenegro Airlines (MA) and Apollo, part of Der Touristik Nordic, which established a charter route between Montenegro and Finland for the first time, means a lot for the tourism of both countries, Finnish Ambassador Pertti Ikonen estimated.

– The sea and the mountains of Montenegro are so different from what we have in Finland. Of course, I would want the people of Montenegro to visit my country, which has an equally magnificent nature, which is quite different from theirs. For example, we have the midnight sun, Lapland, with its numerous attractions, as well as aurora borealis, the polar light – Ikonen told MA's magazine, Luxury Inflight.

Asked about where he saw room for development of future cooperation, that is, connection of Montenegro and Finland by air, he said that Montenegro was making quick and efficient progress in negotiations about the membership in the European Union.

He also said that he advised his fellow Finns who visited Montenegro not to miss the sea, the sun and the beaches.

– Mountains as well, such as Durmitor, for example, should be included in the program. When it comes to the cuisine, Montenegrin sea food and excellent wines simply must be tasted – Ikonen added.
