Nikola Pekovic acquires Mediteran hotel in Becici
Pekovic, who is the former president of the Basketball Club Partizan and the player of the American NBA club Minesota, signed a purchase contract for a hotel in Becici in late July.
Vijesti reports that the right to property was registered two days ago at the cadastral register of the Real Estate Agency.
The advertisement for the sale of the hotel was released several times since bankruptcy in Maestraltours in 2013. The last attempt to sell it was a year ago when the hotel and other assets were offered at EUR 30 m .
The hotel complex was built on a plot of 16 thousand square meters and comprises a the Mediteran hotel categorized with four plus stars.
The hotel has 230 rooms and 547 beds, boarding and A la carte restaurant, a cafeteria, a beach restaurant-pizzeria, Lobby bar, two restaurant gardens, a nightclub / cabaret, outdoor and indoor swimming pool with Wellness & Spa center, a fitness club, a beauty and hairdressing Lounge, congress center, Aqua park, fountains, a river and a pond, a TV room and a souvenir shop.
Bankruptcy in Maestraltours was introduced in June 2013 due to a multi-year million debt. The company account was blocked for 5 years due to a debt of EUR 4 m.
