The director of the Local Economic Development Agency, Bojan Tojaga, said that the city of Leskovac had once again received a certificate of a regional character, as the city with the most favorable business environment, having fulfilled 91.4% of the criteria, the best result made up till then.

Tojaga pointed out that it confirmed, for the third time since 2010, that the city management and administration had met all the EU standards and criteria regarding the improvement of the business climate.

The certificate, as he explained, acts as a guarantee to investors that Leskovac will provide a high level of service to companies in all three phases – pre-investment, investment and post-investment. The certificate is valid for two years from the day of the issuance, December 29, 2016.

Tojaga adds that the certificate places cities and municipalities which receive it among the select local communities in Serbia qualified by NALED, the relevant ministries, institutions, embassies, donors...

In order to acquire the certificate, the city of Leskovac had needed to meet 12 criteria, and the best ratings, i.e. 100% criterion fulfillment, was recorded in credit rating, development of partnership of the private and the public sector and information technologies.
