New system of taxi transport at Airport "Nikola Tesla" starts in September
All city taxi organizations will sign contracts with Airport "Nikola Tesla" on September 5 and these contracts will make them obey the new rules of the Airport, that is, the new system of control of taxi vehicles, reception and dispatchment of passengers, and the entire system will be financed by the Airport.
Access ways to airport terminals will be surrounded by ramps, and it will be possible to pass these ramps only with the magnetic cards, which will be given to taxi drivers. In addition, another innovation is categorization of vehicles, so that access to the passengers will be allowed only to those vehicles whose looks and quality meet standards of the largest airport in Serbia.
Whether people obey these rules will be controlled by airport services, police and inspectors of the Secretariat for Economy of City of Belgrade. This was agreed at the meeting of the representatives of Airport and taxi associations, where permanent regulation of taxi traffic on routes from and to Belgrade's airport was also discussed.
Airport "Nikola Tesla" initiated solving of that problem in a way that it suggested the plan and program for regulation of this form of traffic to the City Assembly, which is authorized for city taxi transport.
