EBRD acquires 20% of Nova kreditna banka Maribor
The European Bank for
Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has announced today that it will acquire 20% of capital at
Slovenian Nova kreditna banke Maribor (KBM), which has a bank in Serbia.
As it was published at the website of the bank, EBRD will take over one fifth
of shares at Slovenian bank from the Government of Slovenia together with the
private investment fund connected to the Apollo global management fund.
EBRD will set aside EUR 70 m for capital in Nova KBM banka.
After completion of transaction and Apollo will indirectly own 100 % capital at Nova KBM, which is second in size bank in Slovenia with the property of EUR 4,3 billion and capital of EUR 636 m at the end of the first quarter.
Nova kreditna banka Maribor is an owner of Kragujevac-based KBM bank since 2010, former Credy bank.
