An underground parking lot will stretch along the entire length of Kneza Milosa Street in Belgrade, of which reconstruction is going to start next year, which will more than double the parking capacity in that street, said City Manager Goran Vesic.
In his guest appearance on RTV Studio B, he stressed it was one of the bigger reconstructions and the first to be done in a different way, adding that the traffic flow would be much faster.
– It will be a brand new street with a parking lot stretching under the entire street, which will increase the parking capacity from current 250 or so to more than 480. Certain parking spaces will be reserved for local tenants, while the rest will be available at commercial prices. There will be three traffic lanes on each side along the whole street with a green area separating them. We will get a street in line with all global standards. It is one of our busiest and longest streets, and the future parking lot is modeled after those in Madrid and Barcelona - said Vesic.
As announced earlier, a building permit for Kneza Milosa Street should be ready in July.
