Donor campaign starts - Sveti Sava hospital urgently needs new scanner

Special hospital for cerebral and vascular diseases Sveti Sava initiated donor campaign for the purchase of new scanner sponsored by the Ministry of health of the Republic of Serbia.

All the interested donors can, in line with their possibilities, pay funds to the account number 840-642667-02 at the National Bank of Serbia.

This hospital annually admits between six and seven thousand patients with brain attack. In order to continue and additionally improve patients’ admission, equipment development is necessary and first of all new scanner which costs EUR 500.000.

-The activity of raising funds is organized now because the hospital was for a few times at the waiting list to solve this problem and there are no signs that the state will be able to fund in the near future purchase of the equipment the hospital needs. We are grateful to the Ministry for sponsorship and it at the same time means acknowledgement to the state that there are no funds to help more specifically. One device, the one which is functioning now, is near its end and it does not comply all existing needs. Therefore, we need the support of donors and media support – dr. Savic explained.
