Final negotiations on sale of Radenska

These days, Slovenian group, Pivara Lasko (PL), has been finishing negotiations on sale of Radenska to the Czech company Kofola after Coca-Cola Hellenic withdrew its offer while family company, which stays in the game as for now, is less likely to succeed, it was announced on Thursday, September 25,2014, in Ljubljana’s daily, Dnevnik in its business section, stating the unofficial information.

Kofola, with 700 employees, is the second biggest Czech company for filling and sale of drinks and with the acquisition of Radenska, it wants to strengthen its position in the region. Annually, Radenska sells a hundred million liters of mineral water and other beverages and PL which after sale of its shares in Mercator with still high liabilities to banks, is planning to improve its financial situation through the funds it receives.

The accounting value of Radenska is EUR 100 m as for now while the amount the potential Czech buyer is not known, Seebiz.eu reported.

As Dnevnik reports, Pivara Lasko whose stocks at the Ljubljana stock market jumped five times in the past three months, after successful sale of Mercator, is planning capital increase and a strategic partner but it is not likely to happen this year.
