Greek olive factory and paper mill interested in investments in Jagodina
Markovic was leading a delegation of 200 entrepreneurs, doctors and farmers in this visit to Pieria region.
- Paper and olive oil factories are interested in investments in Jagodina. A number of large supermarket owners, present in the delegation, have shown interest to distribute olive oil in Serbia. The owner of the paper mill will consider ways of investment in Jagodina and the owner of textile factory contemplates on moving his plant from Bulgaria to Serbia. In a ten-day time investors come to Jagodina to obtain relevant information – said Markovic.
Doctors visited regional hospital and saw modern diagnostic equipment. Farmers met innovations in pig, sheep and dairy cattle breeding. As it was concluded, Serbia provides more subsidies for stock-breeders than Greece. Last year 700,000 of Serbian people spent summer holiday in Greece, while this year the number of them will slightly decrease owing to recent floods – said Markovic.
