NIS negotiates with Bateman on partnership, Bateman plans investment of 700 million USD in 2005
Petroleum Industry of Serbia confirmed that it was in the middles of the negotiation with Israeli petroleum investment company Bateman about possible strategic partnership. NIS speaks with Bateman about possible strategic partnership, as well as with all other companies that are interested in it.
Russian companies Lukoil and Gasprom, Hungarian Mol, Chinese Sinochem, Slovenian Petrol, Greek Hellenic Petroleum, Dutch Shell and British company British Petroleum are also interested in becoming strategic partner of NIS.
Petroleum Investment Company from Israel Bateman announced that it would take part in tender for selection of strategic partner of NIS, and that it was interested in investment in modernization of refineries in Novi Sad and Pančevo. Bateman announced that NIS would be offered up-to-date equipment and the best social program with complete respect to the principles of environment protection. Israeli petroleum company is also interested in participation in privatization of petrochemical complex in Pančevo. In 2005, its plan is to invest over 700 million USD in Serbia.
