Pirot Free Zone to connect with Port of Rijeka
Pirot Free Zone (PFZ), whose last year's turnover was at EUR 520 million, is going to sign an agreement with the Port of Rijeka in Croatia, thus enabling its clients to use part of the port capacity in Croatia.
On that occasion, a three-member delegation from Serbia consisting of Milan Ristic, the director of the Finance Ministry's Administration for Free Zones, Aleksandar Simonovic, the manager of the PFZ Marketing Department, and Dragan Kostic, the president of the Nis Chamber of Commerce, was staying in Riijeka over the weekend.
As Kostic told Tanjug news agency, although Pirot and Rijeka are 800 kilometers away from each other, that is no obstacle to the cooperation between PFZ, the Port of Rijeka, and Kukuljanovo Industrial Zone.
- Connecting PFZ, Corridor X and the Port of Rijeka is of great importance, especially for clients investing in PFZ - says Kostic.
Commenting on the visit of the delegation from Pirot, the Croatian daily Vecernji list wrote that Pirot Free zone was one of the most successful free zones in the world.
