Subsidies coming on time - Investors who sign agreements to get employment incentives for new jobs
The Ministry of Justice will respect all the agreements signed with the investors who have fulfilled their obligations for which they have got subsidies. There are no funds in this year's budget for the employment of new workers, but the money is "earmarked" for the payment of incentives from before. Investors who signed agreements in the previous years can still count on state aid because about RSD 5 billion are set aside for that purpose.
- These funds will be paid according to a pre-defined schedule, that is, in line with what is stipulated by the agreements signed - said people at the Justice Ministry.
- We will fulfill all obligations stemming from the memoranda on cooperation signed earlier with investors, including the obligations towards Finland's PKC Group as their investment is of great importance to the City of Smederevo and its citizens.
In November 2013, the Ministry of Justice presented data showing that the state has invested EUR 300 million in the creation of 55,000 new jobs in 241 companies in the past six years.
SIEPA still under consideration
The Ministry of Justice of Serbia says that the previous concept of work of the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) and the Agency for Licensing Bankruptcy Managers (ALSU) will be analyzed after the elections are over and the new Government of the Republic of Serbia formed. Former Economy Minister Sasa Radulovic had an idea to shut down these agencies and to move some of their staff to the Justice Ministry.
