New cargo-partner office opening in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Global logistics company cargo-partner strengthens its network in South East Asia with the opening of a new branch in Vietnam.
- Ranking 13th in the world for population and boasting continuous growth, the move into Vietnam guarantees cargo-partner increased exports from this industrious region. Vietnam is also one of the 10 founding states of ASEAN, the Southeast Asian economic alliance that will start operating in January 2015, creating a region of more than 600 million inhabitants - cargo-partner said in a release.
The new office of cargo-partner is located in the heart of the main traffic arteries between the airport and industrial centers of Ho Chi Minh City. Aside from standard freight forwarding services such as air and sea freight, cargo-partner is also offering warehousing solutions and customs clearance of goods in Vietnam.
CEO Stefan Krauter stated that Vietnam was viewed as a rapidly growing market of the future.
- Having our own branch in the country allows us to purchase freight volumes and control our logistics services providing an optimal flow of information for our customers.
Stefan van der Sluys, cargo-partner regional director for southeast Asia, added that many companies from the electrical, garment and shoe manufacturing industries were based in Vietnam.
He noted that it was a logical step for cargo-partner to open up a branch in the region to provide skilled advice along with prompt service to its customers on the location.
