Serbian entrepreneur Dragan Solak, the owner of Telemach that is currently selling its telecom firm United Group, is negotiating the acquisition of a Slovenian golf course called Sava.

Solak is ready to set aside minimum EUR 10 million for this acquisition, and the deal should be concluded in late 2013, Slovenia's daily Finance reports citing unofficial sources.

There is no official concrete confirmation of the transaction yet, but Solak has already confirmed to the newspaper that his company Gerrard Enterprises expressed interest in buying golf courses in Slovenia as well.

By the way, Solak is a passionate golf player, president of the Golf Association of Serbia, and the first person from this area to take part in the Masters competition in Augusta.

Solak already owns several golf courses in Serbia and Western Europe, and he plans to consolidate that part of business. The Sava Hotels&Resorts company, which operates as part of Grupa Sava, owns three golf courses (Bled, Livada, Ptuj).

It should be mentioned that Bled is among the top 100 golf courses in Europe.

According to a Memorandum of Cooperation that has already been signed allegedly, Solak is going to invest in Sava's golf courses.
