Ponikve Airport open to non-commercial flights
Transportation Minister Aleksandar Antic handed Uzice Mayor Sasa Milosevic a license to use Ponikve Airport on Saturday (5 October 2013), thus ceremoniously opening this airport to non-commercial flights.
Antic pointed out that Ponikve Airport was a good opportunity to develop the entire Zlatibor Region, but that the airport alone was not sufficient without additional infrastructure.
He said that the Serbian government and the Transportation Ministry would partner up with the City of Uzice to develop required infrastructure.
