NIS too wants to search for oil in Montenegro - Most of interested companies from USA and Great Britain
The greatest interest in hydrocarbon production concessions offered by the Montenegrin government through a Request for Proposals for oil and gas exploration in the Adriatic Sea has been expressed by companies from Great Britain and the USA have expressed .
Among those interested in winning this contract are seven British companies: Geopartners limited, Sterling energy PLC, Northern Petroleum PLC, Premieroil, Seaenergy PLC, JX Nippon Exploration and Production, and BG Group.
The list of the US companies that have expressed interest in these concessions includes Hess Corporation, Exxonmobil International limited, Nobile Energy, Anadarko International Energy Company, and Marathon.
Interest in this contract has also been showed by NIS Gazprom Neft, Italy's Edison SpA and Eni, Germany's Wintershall and RWE DEA, France's Total, Norway's Statoil Asa, Switzerland's White Falcon, Woodside from Australia, and INA from Croatia.
Greece's Hellenic Petroleum, which holds a 54.35 percent stake in Kotor-based Jugopetrol, and Hungary's TDE Services are also among those interested in hydrocarbon production concession contracts.
The Ministry of Economy of Montenegro published a Request for Proposals for oil and gas exploration in the Adriatic Sea on its website on July 26th. This RFP will be open by February 2014.
