EIB: Serbian economy is experiencing its "boom"

The officials of the European Investment Bank (EIB) estimated today (October, 20th, 2006) at the International forum in Atheens, dedicated to the investing in South Eastern Europe, that the results of the Serbian economy were so impressive that it could be freeley marked as a "boom".

Representatives of this bank, however warned that this political problems and eventual political instability in Serbia could lessen the interest of foreign investitors and slow donw the very positive tendency of development of the Serbian economy.

The President of EIB, Philippe Maystadt announced that in the next few years EIB would have at its disposure a large sum of money for crediting of the projects at the Western Balkans.

Maystadt didn't precise about the quantity of the money, but he stressed out that the available money would be similar to what existed in the last three years (between 9 and 10 billions eur), except for the fact that it would no longer be asigned to Bulgaria and Romania, which would be entering the EU in January of 2007.
